"During the second week in Ireland, half of the group went to Manor Cunningham to work with the church. This was such a refreshing experience because not only were we serving, the people of the community were serving us. I learned a lot of what it was like to be a servant of Christ through them. Through their loving and hospitality, I learned that the best way to attract people to Christ is to show that you care about them and their culture, love, and appreciate them.
We played a lot of Irish games, violent games mostly, and grew close to the youth. I almost felt that we weren't doing ministry because I was having so much fun with these kids. Every night we would give a message to the kids. At the end of our time there, the kids realized how big Jesus played a role in our lives and they saw how joyful we were and wanted the same for themselves. So while we were here we felt like we were the ones being served, though this is true, at the same time we were unknowingly serving them in huge ways. It was really encouraging to see kids take interest in the Lord because they saw how bright He shined throughout our team."
Team that went and served at the church.
Our last night with the youth we got to have a cook out and just spend time together encouraging one another.
