Growing a Generation

It’s been a week since we arrived in Ireland. The team has settled into a routine leaving room for the Spirit to move. In the mornings the team divides into two groups and has opportunities to work with the elderly, assist in light manual labor, pass out invitations for church, and work with children ages 4-11 at their version of Vacation Bible School.

After lunch the team gets together for a time of worship and devotion. We always like to be able to process the day and speak life into each other in order to be filled again for the evenings. Following this time of fellowship, the team is released for free time to explore the countryside and do some random acts of kindness for members of the church. We meet back together for dinner and tea and then head to the youth program where we get to dance, be crazy, and build relationships with high school students.

Each night after youth we end with a time of debriefing the day and prayer. This time grows our team and continues to bond us closer to each other and even closer to the Lord. It has been a blessing to serve along these men and women so far. We are incredibly blessed to lead them and with only a few more days left on the trip, we are going to make the most of each day that the Lord blesses us.
